Full Time - Director of Development

TCH is currently accepting resumes for the Director of Development role. The Director of Development is responsible for directing the research, planning, development and implementation of The Community House’s development activities that generate private and public gift revenues from individuals, corporations, foundations and governmental entities.

Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to: Developing, directing, and evaluating programs of annual giving, direct mail solicitation, tributes, grant proposals, planned giving, capital campaigns, endowment giving and special events; Interfacing with the Board of Directors on a regular basis as it relates to Annual Fund Drive (AFD) and fund raising; Leading and managing The Community House’s development efforts to raise gifts to reach the annual budget by implementing an annual development plan and strategy. The Director of Development will also be expected to cultivate, nurture, and maintain relationships with current corporate and foundation sponsors and with individual donors as well as with potential donors in an effort to develop and grow donor base.

Qualified applicants will be college graduates. Accomplishments in and 3-5 years of experience in Major Gifts, Planned Giving, Corporate Sponsorships and Fundraising are required. They must have excellent interpersonal skills and be comfortable meeting new people and dealing with new situations, a successful candidate will also be well organized and able to produce accurate work in a logical, analytical and timely manner.

“Early Childhood Center – Substitute Teacher

The Community House has an opening in our NAEYC accredited Early Childhood Center for a Substitute Teacher to work 40 hours per week from April 2012 - August 2012 and continue in a substitute role there after. The successful candidate will assist in implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum in accordance with the philosophy of the ECC.  They should also have some experience working in an early childhood center prior to their time of application.  Qualified applicants will be able to work full days and have 100% open availability from April thru August of 2012. 

All applicants should have completed some course work toward a Degree in Early Childhood Education or toward a Child Development Association certification.
