The 21st Century Leaders program started in 1993 as an idea
of a board member of The Community House. Originally intended
for the greater Birmingham/Bloomfield area the leadership program
now expands over Oakland County.
More than 250 students have successfully graduated from this
yearlong curriculum. They have benefited from having opportunities
to learn and practice communication skills, conflict resolution
strategies and goal setting habits.
Because of generous corporate sponsorship each year, The Community
House can offer this program at no cost to students, their families
and the schools.
Educators are invited, upon the request of the Leadership Director,
to nominate three students from their schools. The 21st Century
Leaders program is intended for students who:
- Have leadership capabilities and would benefit from a
leadership development program.
- Would appreciate this opportunity and take positive advantage
of it.
