The following are examples of language you can use to make bequests to The Community House in your estate plan. They are intended only as examples and should be reviewed by your attorney prior to being made a part of your estate plan.
General Bequest: I give to The Community House Association, Birmingham, Michigan, _________________________(fill in a certain percentage of your estate or a specific dollar amount) to be used at the discretion of the Board of Directors of The Community House.
Specific Bequest: I give to The Community House Association, Birmingham, Michigan, _________________________(fill in a certain percentage of your estate or a specific dollar amount) and direct that it shall be used for the following purpose(s): ______________________________(here, in detail, specify the purpose(s) you wish to support with your bequest. Also indicate if the gift is to an endowment) If at any time the need of income for such purposes ceases to exist, The Community House Board of Directors shall be and is hereby authorized to use this bequest for such purposes as in the judgment of the Board of Directors shall best promote the welfare of The Community House and the spirit of this gift.
Residual Bequest: All the rest, residue and remainder of my estate, both real and personal, wherever located, I give to The Community House Association, Birmingham, Michigan.
