New Improvements to serve you!
There is exciting news at The Community House! After decades of use, our front entrance is being renovated to better serve the community needs. The new improvements will include a larger shelter, improved lighting and signage, as well as a ramp and railing for handicapped access. The construction is scheduled to begin on February 1 and is estimated to conclude on March 12.
Please use the Merrill Street and Townsend Street entrances during this time.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Barbara and George Miller for funding a substantial portion of this renovation project. The Community House receives no tax dollars our funding from the City of Birmingham. It depends solely on the generous donations from patrons like you. The Community House is continuing to seek donations to complete the funding for the handicapped accessibility portion of the project.
