The Community House Early Childhood Center is looking for part-time Classroom Assistants! If you are an energetic upbeat person that loves working with children, we are looking for you!
Available Shifts: Infant/Toddler (M-F, 8am-1pm) and (M-F, 1-6pm)
Responsibility
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:-Working with Teachers in a classroom environment to care and nurture young children including infants (6wks - 15mos) and toddlers (15mos - 2.5yrs).
-Helping to maintain a fun and interactive classroom.
-Providing support with lunch preparation and clean-up.
-Supervising regular classroom activities including nap time, playground activities and arrival/dismissal activities.
-Following licensing guidelines and maintaining all company standards to ensure the safety, well-being, and high-level care of children at all times.
-Assisting in classroom cleaning and organizing.
-Attending required staff meetings, workshops, professional learning, and other scheduled program activities as requested.
-Supporting the mission of the Early Childhood Center and The Community House.
Qualifications
-At lease age 18 years old with a High School Diploma or equivalent.-One year early childhood education and/or care experience preferred.
-Must possess a warm and friendly personality, be sensitive to the feelings and needs of others, and able to relate well to children.
-Available to work Monday-Friday morning or afternoon shift.
-Must complete a background check with fingerprints and TB test.
-CPR Certified or ability to obtain certification within 30 days.
-Capable of performing physical requirements of position which include but are not limited to standing, sitting, stooping, bending and lifting up to 30lbs unassisted.
