EARLY CHILDHOOD CLASSROOM ASSISTANT (PART-TIME)

Responsibility

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
•Working with Teachers in a classroom environment to care and nurture young children including infants (6wks – 15mos), toddlers (15mos-2.5yrs), or preschoolers (2.5yrs-4yrs).
•Helping to maintain a fun and interactive classroom.
•Providing support with lunch preparation and clean-up.
•Supervising regular classroom activities including nap time, playground activities and arrival/dismissal activities.
•Following licensing guidelines and maintaining all company standards to ensure the safety, well-being, and high-level care of children at all times.
•Assisting in classroom cleaning and organizing.
•Attending required staff meetings, workshops, professional learning, and other scheduled program activities as requested.
•Supporting the mission of The Early Childhood Center and The Community House.

Qualifications

•At least age 18 years old with a High School Diploma or equivalent.
•One-year early childhood education and/or care experience preferred.
•Must possess a warm and friendly personality, be sensitive to the feelings and needs of others, and able to relate well to children.
•Must complete a background check with fingerprints and TB test.
•CPR Certified or ability to obtain certification within 30 days.
•Capable of performing physical requirements of the position which include but are not limited to standing, sitting, stooping, bending and lifting up to 30lbs unassisted.

Work Schedule

•Available to work Monday-Friday late morning through afternoon; minimum 2 days per week, 3 hours per day.
