Young Preschool Room

In the Early Childhood Center Young Preschool Room, children ages two and a half to three years old are beginning to prepare for the world of preschool – exploring and learning new skills that will help them grow into the next phase of their educational journey.

Getting your child ready for preschool is important to our teachers, and this transitional room is the perfect way for your child to prepare for the exciting path that lies ahead. In our Young Preschool room, children are encouraged to problem solve and make choices all while following a preschool routine. Our classes are kept to a six children maximum in order to ensure each child is properly attended to and receives the attention they need.

Throughout this transitional phase, we follow the same nationally recognized HighScope program that is used in the Preschool Room. The HighScope approach, founded by Dr. David Weikart, is based on key learning indicators (KDI’s) rather than traditional preschool themes. This means we provide the children with opportunities to develop their critical thinking skills through dynamic learning sessions. We also conduct bi-annual assessments with COR & ASQ and offer bi-annual parent/teacher conferences as needed.

The ECC provides a nutritious breakfast and lunch along with morning and afternoon snacks to ensure the children are energized and ready to learn.

We offer a few select spots for part-time students who wish to attend two or three days a week. Please refer to our tuition page for pricing details.
